In the premises of the New Factory business incubator, Hermia Group administers several services directed at startup companies, as well as services directed in other directions, in which the startups function as a significant interest group. The purpose of these services is to offer the startups the possibility to launch their activities, and to support the startups as they search for a business activity model. An additional goal is to offer established companies and other organisations opportunities to benefit from the innovations that emerge from and around the startups.

The New Factory hosts Tampere's Protomo activities. Protomo is a communal pre-incubator where startup companies are hatched. Therefore, Protomo serves as a place where makers, ideas, and teams can create, meet, and operate. It facilitates the activities of the teams through the use of procedures that follow the Lean philosophy. As a publicly funded project, Protomo is free of charge for the startups that are accepted into it.

A communal enterprise accelerator in which startups receive coaching, premises, and contacts to mentors, investors, clients, and partners.
